The following criteria must be met by candidates applying for an Assistant Professor position:
(a) The Ph.D. degree must have been awarded to the candidate in regular mode only;
(b) The Ph.D. thesis must have been evaluated by at least two external examiners;
(c) An open Ph.D viva voce of the candidate must have been conducted;
(d) The candidate must have published at least two research papers from their Ph.D work, with at least one paper in a refereed journal;
(e) The candidate must have made at least two presentations in conferences/seminars based on their Ph.D work.
All of the above criteria (a) to (e) must be certified by the Vice-Chancellor/Pro-Vice Chancellor/Dean (Academic Affairs)/Dean (University Instructions).
